Install Better Design MCP in T3 Code

Install through your agent

  1. 1

Add Better Design to the agent you run in T3 Code

Follow the page for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or OpenCode. Add the server at user level, not in one project, so every T3 Code worktree sees it.
  2. 2

Start a new thread in T3 Code

T3 Code starts the agent with its own settings, so Better Design is there without a T3 Code step.
  3. 3

Name Better Design in your request

Ask: Use Better Design to build the settings page. To check the connection, ask the agent to list the design systems Better Design supports.

One URL for every agent is not in T3 Code yet

T3 Code has no shared server list that every agent in a thread receives. Release 0.1.2 of 22 October 2026 does not carry one, so there is no T3 Code step.

Add Better Design to the agent instead. The same entry serves the agent in the terminal and in T3 Code.

Questions

Does T3 Code change my agent's settings?

No. T3 Code starts Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and OpenCode with the settings they already have, so one server entry serves the terminal and T3 Code alike.

I run two Claude or Codex accounts in T3 Code. Where does the server go?

Each account has its own settings folder, set with CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR or CODEX_HOME in T3 Code's provider settings. Run the agent's add command once per folder, with that folder's variable set.

Why does a thread that was already open not see Better Design?

The agent reads its servers when the thread starts. Start a new thread after you add the server.
