Captions come from the timeline
- Derive caption start and end times from the same scene manifest as the composition
- Use the official
/remotion-captionsskill for current caption APIs, transcription and display patterns - Caption speech faithfully. For a silent film, provide a text track that states the on-screen message and the important action
- Keep caption lines short, preserve phrases and leave enough time to read them once
- Place captions in the format profile's caption region, away from the action and platform controls
Visual access
- Keep normal text at or above 4.5:1 contrast and do not use color as the only signal
- Hold important end states. Motion that only flashes the result has hidden it
- Keep critical copy inside the safe area
- Offer a low-motion composition when strong camera motion, rapid wipes or repeated zooms are central to the original
- The low-motion version keeps the story and brand through cuts, fades and clear state changes; it does not remove information
Sound
- Sound complements visual feedback and never replaces it
- Do not add a sound to every action. Reserve cues for scene changes or results that earn them
- Match a cue to the visual frame. An off-time click is worse than silence
- State whether audio is generated, supplied or licensed, and keep that record with the project
